Nationals road race was today. The good news--Freshie scored 4th place, putting us in very good position to go for the Individual Omnium title with tomorrow's crit. Corey and I will be looking to keep the field together and give Steve a solid lead out for a field sprint in the crit.
The bad news--a long gravel/dirt road section of the road race course today. I flatted not only on the neutral lead out, but also on the third and final lap....twice. Oh well, you've got to run with what ya brung, and that was the way the cards were dealt today.
Should be fun to set Steve up for the crit, I have a good feeling for the race. Stay tuned for more collegiate clustered up action, it's addictive--
