12/14/2006, the warmest day in history (on this day, in Madison...but these are minor stipulations) happened today, so a nice long ride was mandatory.
I got a chance to get out for 4 hours today, making stops at Cronometro bike shop for some LeMond cleat shims and a mini frog light (so in style right now, those mini frog lights).
Joining me for the spin were the always action-packed Joe Cormer, Julio Jacobo, and a new man on campus, a certain Eric Bean. Eric had a great season this past year, upgrading to Cat 2 on the east coast and scoring 3rd at his first shot at the Masters 30-34 Nationals TT. I hope he has enough time to train and race with UW this season, he would be a great rider to add to an already strong UW team.
Looks like the weather will stay nice for the time being, time to study and ride--
