Iceman race details, Bellin team merger

Adam Craig powers past Doug Swanson in the final singletrack section for the Pro mens win. His time of 1:29:29 was a course record, and it was longer than previous years (no snow, however).

The Iceman has left me craving more--more riding, more training, more speed--everything! I'm not ready to hang up the bike for a month and take it easy and cross train. Who wants to run and swim when its 60 degrees and sunny outside? I'd much rather take a spin...

So I rode today with Matt and Scott, two of the UW riders who went to mtb nationals in Pensylvania two weeks ago. They both are very good riders, and hell, they even placed pretty darn good in the short track race at nationals (Scott grabbed 12th, Matt got 15th). We started out pretty slow, but on my new Fuji Professional I had to ramp up the pace a bit and see what she's got...needless to say, carbon frames rock! That bike just explodes when you crank out of the saddle, and it rides smooth over rough roads just like the XTC composite. Beautiful...

NEWS ALERT!!!

The Bellin Health and Team 2 mountain bike teams--the 2 powerhouses in Green Bay, WI--are planning on merging into one unified team for 2006! This means that we should have a very dominant team for the WORS Elite series with myself, D-Fowler, Cole House, and Seth Lenss all working for each other (or so I hope). Besides dominating the series, we should have more sponsors for the team and have more benefits (read: race payouts!). Plus, we can organize trips to more regional and/or national events like the Triple Crown ( O 2 S, Cheq, Iceman), NORBA Nat'ls, and ......24 Hours of Adrenaline NATIONALS in Wausau, WI! Thats right, the 24-9 next year will be a NATIONAL championship event--can you say 4 man expert team NATIONAL CHAMPS! Thats what I'm talking about!

The rest of the week, if it continues to be nice, will be more road riding. Maybe I'll actually go to the gym for a few hours and work on those core muscles too. But that means going to the gym...
